Bariatric Surgery

Eating healthy, portion-controlled meals and exercising regularly are the best ways to reach and maintain an ideal weight. However, this approach does not work for everyone. However, there are several general criteria you must meet in order to be considered for any of these bariatric procedures.

Requirements:

Body Mass Index (BMI) of at least 40

or

At least 100 pounds overweight

or

BMI of 35 with other risk factors such as Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea.
